Skyfora is Finnish a deep tech company developing next-generation weather technology. The instruments and methods to collect weather data are unique and the AI-powered weather forecasts bring solutions to many industries and governments in a world faced with climate change and extreme weather.
Skyfora’s high-tech solutions increase the amount of weather and climate change observations and turn that data into better weather and climate forecasts through artificial intelligence backed up by academic research. We have won the Copernicus Masters innovation competition, we have been awarded the EIC Accelerator grant, and our products are sold internationally. Who are we looking for?
If you are a finance professional with experience in fundraising and project management with EU and/or Business Finland projects, we invite you to join our exciting pioneering journey in building the weather technology of the future. Suitable backgrounds include for example work as a controller, Head of Finance or similar, or project management, academic research, and startup experience.

The role's seniority level and compensation will be tailored to match your skills and experience. The Head of Finance and Project Administration will report to the CEO and be based in our Helsinki office.
Your responsibilities will include the following and can be tailored to match your background and interests:
- Project management and administration, incl. funding applications and project reports
- Participate in the fundraising process (upcoming equity and debt raises)
- Daily financial management together with external accountant and payroll
- Support executive decisions and board meetings with budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Assist the CEO in sales and help with overall administrative duties in a startup office.
Experience and skills required.
- Experience in financial controlling and/or fundraising.
- Ability to take the lead in project management.
- An ability to understand and communicate complex technology, especially in writing.
- A track record of obtaining or managing public or private project funding is a plus.
- A degree in accounting, finance, business, engineering, science, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience from growing startups is a plus.
